MONCKS CORNER — A teenager was arrested in connection to an afternoon shooting June 3 that left one woman dead in the Huger area.
Jah Mari Antonie Loyal, 18, was arrested June 4 and charged with murder and attempted murder, according to a Berkeley County Sheriff's Office news release.
Deputies responded to an Ivory Trail residence in Huger around 3 p.m. June 3 to find an elderly womandead. Mary L. Myers, 78, sustained one gunshot wound, according to the Berkeley County coroner's office.
